Parents are dreaming if they think the VHSL is going to take this on. They're not. Fact: AHS enrollment is 1740. Fact: Orange is moving up to AAA and will play in the CD. Enrollment: 1571. Fact: AHS would immediately become the largest AA school in Virginia. Fact: AHS would be the largest school in the JD by 300 students over Louisa. William Monroe's enrollment is 755. I understand the travel and academic issues and understand the concerns of parents and students. But like Fitz Barnes said, the VHSL isn't going to fix it and anyone who thinks they will is naive.
