Last week’s 32-13 victory was the most Louisa County has beaten Courtland, a fixture on the Lions’ schedule, by since at least 2004. Andre Mealy was a big reason why. Mealy ground out 137 yards and three touchdowns on 22 carries in the bruising ballgame with the Cougars. Mealy’s currently averaging north of 150 yards after just two games, and he’s already got five touchdowns on the year. With Mealy back in the lineup a year after an arm injury kept him off the field for most of 2010, the Lions appear to be picking up steam going into the Jefferson District slate.
