Western volleyball sweeps CHS

 Western Albemarle's volleyball began its second tour through the Jefferson District with another 3-0 sweep of Charlottesville on Tuesday, 25-15, 25-14, 25-15.

The Warriors made the most of their depth, using their bench much of the game. Maggie Kooken and Devon Via each had five kills. Peyton Brookins and Katie Rossberg had four kills a piece. Keller Whitlock had two blocks. Libero Marin Crowder had eight digs. Setter Riley Martin finished with eight aces and 14 assists. Lauren Reifsack had a similar line with four aces and eight assists. Marina Clark had a trio of aces to go with four digs.

Western (16-5, 6-0) hosts Louisa County at 7:30 p.m.
