Althea Pickering should be on

Althea Pickering should be on the first team

Crazy list

The linkous kid should be on 1st team.

First team keeper selection

No offense to the young lady from Orange, but how do you relegate a keeper who has at least 8 clean sheets to second team?

...

How Is emily thomas not first team, and Josie Rappold on second?

Perhaps the selection was

Perhaps the selection was made based on the work actually done.... CHS defense is really good and the goalie didn't get a whole lot of action to be judged on. The orange goalie and western goalie worked hard and were often the busiest players on the field. The orange goalie has great skills and does the western goalie. All three of the ladies are talented and should be commended.

1st team GK selection

No, no, no--this comment betrays a lack of understanding about soccer. The GK's job is to direct the defense. It's not just about making saves; it's about keeping the players in front of you organized so that good shots aren't allowed. 3 of the 4 CHS defenders didn't start last year, and the one who did start (Maggie McNair) is playing in a new position (center back). CHS lost their two captains and JD 1st and 2nd team center backs from last year's team, the heart of the defensive unit, yet they have given up many fewer goals this year. The credit has to go to the GK, period. Emily Thomas is the best GK in the district.

CHS has 7 players on the three All District teams. Fluvanna has 6, Western 6, and Monticello 5. This is pretty ridiculous given the CHS record and scores against Fluvanna, Western, and Monticello (last night they beat WAHS 5-0). Anne Shaffrey, Mary Hemenway (who had 3 goals and 2 assists last night) and Kelly Havens should have been on the All District teams, too.

1st Team Selections Missed

Emily Thomas and Katie Cersley should both be on the 1st Team. What about Kathleen Fox, leading goal scorer on the JD #2 team and not on any All-District team?

Every team gets to vote and

Every team gets to vote and you can't vote for your own kids.

wow...

Monticello came in second in the district and yet they only have 5 people on the 3 teams, less then that of the 3rd and 4th place teams. That's either a problem of the coach not caring or...no its definatly the coach not caring... How are Claire Wolanski, Emily Larrabee, and Kathleen Fox not on teams? That's just ridiculous.

the monticiello coach didnt

the monticiello coach didnt even show up
